This freehand DANISH PRIDE hand made from Ben Wade Denmark was carved 25 to 30 years ago. This line of pipes was made under the direction and guidance of Preben Holm.
The side panels have some very nice grain; the front, back, bottom and rim of the bowl are rusticated as is the shank.
The chamber capacity is large. The chamber has a slight taper and the draw hole is well centered at the base. With a slight twist, a pipe cleaner passes easily.
The nomenclature is crisp with the exception of the last line - DENMARK. And the logo on the original stem is weak due to careless buffing by the prior piper.
It is a handsome looking pipe, and will be a fine addition to your collection.

To remove the tobacco residue from the previous owner, the bowl has been carefully reamed and then the interior of the stem, shank and bowl of this "Previously Enjoyed Pipe" has been thoroughly alcohol-steam cleaned and sterilized using my special rig. Virtually all the oxidation has been removed from the mouthpiece. I have been careful to preserve the logo. Then the bowl and
stem have been polished with Carnauba wax and buffed with care.
