Stem / Bit: Original hand fitted hard rubber Double Comfort saddle stem with embossed white "CP" Charatan logo on one side and Regd No 203573 on the bottom. There is one very minor tooth mark on the bottom of the bit. The mouth piece fits well to the shank.

To remove the tobacco residue from the previous owner, the bowl has been carefully reamed and then the interior of the stem, shank and bowl of this "Previously Enjoyed Pipe" has been thoroughly alcohol-steam cleaned and sterilized using my special rig. Virtually all the oxidation has been removed from the mouthpiece. I have been careful to preserve the logo. Then the bowl and stem have been polished with Carnauba wax and buffed with care.
