Since its introduction almost ten years ago, this particular cigar has been prized by many and often difficult to obtain. The unique blend together with the African Cameroon wrapper provides a fine spicy flavor and the Fuente cigar rollers have applied the craft well. It is always a very highly rated cigar.

Avo Domaine #20 (4 5/8 x 50) rolled in Dominican Republic

Wrapper: Ecuador Binder: Dominican Filler: Dominican

I have found this shorter Avo Domaine to be packed with flavor and very well made. The blend results in a medium body smoke, a bit fuller than their Classic line cigars. It represents an enjoyable change of pace.

La Flor Dominicana Doble Ligero Chiselto (5 x 44) rolled in Dominican Republic

This maker made “headlines” when the Doble Ligero was first offered and then , about three years ago, this was topped by the unique shaped Chisel line. These very full bodied, full flavor cigars continue to be “back ordered” by many retailers. I have included it here as a “Very Special Treat.”

The Griffin Fuerte Robusto (4 3/4 x 48) rolled in Dominican Republic.

This was the first line extension for The Griffins - introduced several years ago. For this cigar they chose to use an Ecuadorian grown CT Shade wrapper and the result is a little more full bodied and a little spicier than the original. Certainly worth a taste.

Introduced in 1994 by J. Drew and made for four years, Chief Catoonah was the first in the area to offer this limited production cigar. The Maduro wrapper is Ecuadorian Oscuro which adds a smooth and mellow flavor to this medium to fuller body well aged cigar. Sit back. Close your eyes and you can almost see and hear the sidewalks of Old Havana!
